Despite huge growth in numbers of Protestants, in a predominantly nominal Catholic region, Latin America’s potential for transformation in lives, communities, and society remains largely untapped. We believe that a unique and crucial window of opportunity lies before us, as the center of Christendom has already begun moving south.

Out of a history of the gospel spreading in a way that truncates the Great Commission so as to make discipleship an optional program for “super-Christians,” the results are what we might expect: little transformation into Christ-likeness individually and little improvement in the culture and society at large. We believe God’s plan is to change that, and we want to participate

We envision communities of Latin Americans becoming full-fledged, useful, and powerful agents of good - just like Jesus (Eph 4).

These communities become catalysts to transform their culture and beyond. As seen at various high points in history (e.g. the 1st Great Awakening, the Celtic Movement), this kind of thing has happened before.

Mission: sustained personal apprenticeship to Jesus.

This is a long-haul approach. In partnership with a pioneering local seminary and mission's training center, ProMETA, we are piloting a new kind of discipleship experience: one that emphasizes belonging, being companions of the heart, accessibility, progress (not perfection) in practical ways, and replicability. We believe Jesus commissioned his apprentices to establish beachheads of Jesus’ person, word, and power in the midst of a failing and futile humanity. We aim to develop leaders and communities of practice that cast vision for the goodness of life in God’s Kingdom, and to those who are caught by that, clearly show the processes to grow in Christlikeness.
